![]() ![]() I've since replaced that old XP with a nice 64bit quad-core (my wife uses the XP for photography now and it still works like a champ, with much credit going to PL) and I've also added a could laptops to the mix (I repaired an old XP laptop that has the exact same setup as my XP desktop, including a Pentium D processor, and I recently obtained a nice quad-core laptop as well). I was sold and immediately purchased a 5 computer license, even though I only had one working computer at the time. The results were nothing short of miraculous! Don't get me wrong, I couldn't suddenly run everything at once (which I never do anyway), but I could move my mouse again when compiling and I could finally pop back to the desktop and run my browser when in my MMO. I installed PL with a lot of hesitance and doubt. I knew nothing could speed my machine up, that was a given, but I was tired of waiting when I wanted to run a quick utility with a separate process in the background. There was a complete lack of responsiveness. I had the computer performing better than many of my friends' "modern" machines, but it did take a long time to accomplish other operations when attempting to multitasking. I ran Android and C++ IDEs and also played a couple MMOs (never, of course, at the same time). This machine was very highly tweaked (lack of a budget can make a person very resourceful) and I always limited my system tasks. I first installed PL, a year or two ago, on an old single-core 32bit XP machine that was overly taxed and had only 2GB RAM. I've been using GaotD for years and this is the first time I've ever posted a review. Sorry for coming late to the party, but I've had such good results with PL, I just had to comment and show Jeremy my support. Right out of the box, it can even enter Gaming Mode when you play any Steam game. What's New:Gaming Mode has been improved to include a pre-customized power plan for maximal performance. You can have a wide range operations performed, or settings applied, each time a process is run. In addition to ProBalance, there are countless features allowing the user to take full automated control of the processes on their PC. Process Lasso's most popular feature is the unique process optimization technology called ProBalance (Process Balance) that will improve your PC's responsiveness and stability through process priority optimization and/or CPU affinity adjustments. As soon as you install Lasso, without any further action, it's ProBalance technology will immediately start restraining CPU hogs to help your PC retain responsiveness during high CPU loads. ![]() ![]() Although Lasso offers a plethora of advanced rules and features, you need not be a tech whiz to use it. Send a review only if it brings something constructed to work on or acknowledgeĪlso, there is a refund policy for games purchased on steam, so don't be afraid to use it instead of ♥♥♥♥ posting in the review section.Process Lasso is a process priority optimization and system automation utility. Without ALL of this information, Naughty Dog may have a hard time solving the problems you are experiencing. However, if you are still experiencing problems, then you can submit a constructive review with your current settings and PC configuration. Even at LOW, thanks to the SHADERS you complain about, your game will still look great and be better than most AAA games on the PC market. Set your graphics settings to LOW/MID and enable FSR/DLSS if necessary. I strongly recommend that you update your drivers.Įnable VSync and/or the proprietary system if you have tearing problems. In both cases it ran without any problems AFTER THE DRIVERS UPDATE.ĪLWAYS REMEMBER THAT SOME OF THE PROBLEMS YOU ENCOUNTER MAY BE DUE TO A DRIVER PROBLEM. ![]() I ran the game on a GTX 1660 / Ryand an AMD 7900 XTX / Ryzen 9 7950x. Don't blame the game for this, you knew how to read steam store pages when you bought it. The game is not designed for Steam Deck, and it is not advertised as compatible with. It takes a long time to load because the game is really complex in terms of shaders. Use CPU optimizing software like "Process Lasso" only if it enhance your experience (I didn't tested).įSR isn't there for nothing and besides, it's available for all platforms and hardware unlike DLSS or other proprietary nvidia system.ĭon't complain about the compilation of shaders for such a beautiful game. It's disgusting to see so many unconstructive comments about the game. The game runs perfectly even with a 1660 (6GB VRAM), you just need to learn how to configure your screen and video settings.
